Good news from Dubrovnik. :) Mato Frankovic has won the election and is the new Mayor of Dubrovnik. This is indeed good news for the dogs in Dubrovnik, because Mato has promised to build a no kill shelter for them. Mato immediately sent food for the dogs upon taking the office. His first meeting was with members of Network For Animals, where he discussed what all needs to be done to build the shelter.
In the meantime, any help will be greatly appreciated. The dogs need veterinary care and help during the transitioning phase.
"But Mato is a mayor, not a magician and a new shelter will take time to create. The problem is bureaucracy. He has to find a piece of land, get planning permission, find funding and then build the shelter."
Please if you can, donate.
"We are so close to achieving a major victory for dogs in distress in Dubrovnik, please stand with me in this final battle. The new mayor is trying to create a new shelter by Christmas. Give generously so that dogs in distress in Dubrovnik will have the finest Christmas present they could ever have, freedom from the threat of death."
